B2BPR: 5 ways to leverage your technical presentation

With only 3 weeks to go until OI2016, some of your technical experts will now have their heads down preparing their presentations.  It takes a lot of time and effort to put these together so it’s important to look at ways of maximising their exposure before, during and after the show.

  1. Editorial content - although they will be slightly more detailed in nature and may require some tweaking, the introduction of a technical paper could form the basis of an editorial piece.  Approximately 50% of the feature length coverage we secure on behalf of clients comes from technical papers/presentations/whitepapers already drafted.  Why reinvent the wheel?
  2. Abstract – ask your technical experts to prepare an abstract so that you can publicise their expertise.
  3. Call to action - Add a call to action on your existing marketing materials promoting the paper or presentation and inviting people to register to download it.
  4. Announce it - Send out a dedicated email straight after the event to tell people that the technical paper is now available and encourage recipients to forward to people who might be interested.
  5. Press packs – if your technical experts have prepared abstracts, make sure you include these in your press pack.
