Chevaan
Seresinhe – Consultant
Chevaan Seresinhe joined Emmett & Smith in the summer of
2001 and supports a number of clients with his media relations expertise. Chevaan
has a passion for journalist interaction, which has resulted in editorial coverage
in a hugely impressive range of publications.
Chevaan’s easy-going, yet determined nature, combined with an instinct
for what makes a good story, means that he is always able to deliver the coverage
his clients need. Chevaan is also a talented writer with a skill for developing
headlines that grab the attention of target editors. His powers of journalist
persuasion have resulted in one key publication starting a letters page specifically
for his client!
Since joining the company, Chevaan has developed his experience in all aspects
of Public Relations, from Headline Planning and delivery to press trip co-ordination
and interview management.
Chevaan finds PR a varied and rewarding career, and particularly enjoys securing
regular commentator status for his clients in both key trade publications and
the national press. Personally, Chevaan is most proud of his academic achievements
- A Sri Lankan national, Chevaan was educated in the United Kingdom and following
the successful completion of a BA Honors degree in Public Relations and Media
Studies from Exeter University, where he was awarded a 2:1.
Chevaan is a member of the IPR and an associate member of the NUJ. In his
spare time, he enjoys travelling, going to the cinema, and listening to music.
He also enjoys the arts, good food and literature. |
